This subject is one that is particularly important to Christians because it hits at one of the fundamental teachings of the Gospel, the resurrection of the dead? Our whole future depends on the resurrection. Christ's claim to be our savior hinges on the resurrection. An attack on the nature of death is an attack on the resurrection since you cannot have one without the other. Worship - framework and resourcesAuthor: buildontherock |

Why would I call this mini series 'worship' instead of 'servanthood' or something along those lines? The Children of Israel had left Egypt for the purpose of being servants to God not worshipers. Worship - service within the Holy PlaceAuthor: buildontherock |

God's original intention was to dwell among Israel. Exodus 25:8 [KJV] says "And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them". In the first part we looked at the priest from outside the sanctuary and also observed that the objective of a Christian is to become a priest of God. What does that entail? For one thing, it gives us direct access to God, to the ark and to the Mercy Seat. Worship - the most holy placeAuthor: buildontherock |

God deliberately made the Most Holy Place mysterious. Only one person (the High Priest) ever sees the inside. There is no light there and the smoke that carried from the Holy Place smothered everything in further darkness. The tabernacle was built with a gable roof and the incense was apparently deliberately designed to go straight up to the ceiling and then drift across and be trapped in the Most Holy Place. These are the conditions that had to prevail when the High Priest entered. Even then he did not spend very long but quickly carried out his duties and left. The High Priest in the order of Aaron did precious little there but what he did was pivotal. Worship - the role of the priestAuthor: buildontherock |

Modern Christianity seems convinced that the Old Testament rituals are irrelevant. Do not ever let anyone convince you children that they are right. For those who are willing to look, God uses these symbols to teach us about His plans for us and impress upon us the certainty of our hope. By looking into Gods ceremonies and symbols we see clearly that it was all planned long ago and it is working just as God intended. |
