Creation was by Planning and Work

I considered using hard work in the title but God does not do hard work. Their work is enjoyable and very productive. When God is working they are enjoying themselves so why would they want it to be instantaneous? Instant gratification is a trait of man. I take a look at the planning and work in this article but I also have links to much more to be said on the subject of creation.

The God approach

God does not work by magic. YHWH does not twiddle his nose and things that He does not understand appear. God has detailed understanding of the items that They create or in other words They understand the science. They used the same processes that man would use it is just that They have far greater ability. God uses skill. The Lord has absolute knowledge about everything, absolute power and absolute love and He does not have a lot of time to waste with idiots who think that they can challenge Him. Read proverbs.

Proverbs 3:19 (KJV)19 The LORD by wisdom [Hebrew:b chkme] hath founded the earth; by understanding [Hebrew:b thune] hath he established the heavens.
Proverbs 3:19 (KJV)19 The LORD by wisdom [Hebrew:b chkme] hath founded the earth; by understanding [Hebrew:b thune] hath he established the heavens.

The same process was used by Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur and is an accompaniment to skill.

Exodus 35:31 (KJV)31 And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom [Hebrew:b chkme], in understanding [Hebrew:b thune], and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;

It was the same thing that Solomon pursued.

Ecclesiastes 1:13 (KJV)13 And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom [Hebrew:b chkme] concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.
Ecclesiastes 7:23 (KJV)23 All this have I proved by wisdom [Hebrew:b chkme]: I said, I will be wise; but it was far from me.

We come next to Matt 25

Matthew 25:34 (KJV)34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

This is talking about God preparing ahead of time for something that is yet to occur. This is God's way. He does not wave a wand and hope for the best.

We see the same thing revealed in Hebrews

Hebrews 4:3 (KJV)3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Everything was put in place from the beginning. They figure it out, obtain all the prerequisites, set things in motion and wait on the inevitable result. In some cases They have to wait longer than in others: sometimes it takes an instant and sometimes 6,000 years.

The fact that it involves work should be obvious because the Bible says

Genesis 2:2 (YLT)2 and God completeth by the seventh day His work which He hath made, and ceaseth by the seventh day from all His work which He hath made.

God is not a stranger to effort. The Lord knows that there is nothing to hard (marvellous) for Him because He has tested His own ability just like He tested Abraham. He has tested His own patience and capacity to achieve and can say

Genesis 18:14 (YLT)14 And Jehovah saith unto Abraham, `Why is this? Sarah hath laughed, saying, Is it true reallyI bearand I am aged? Is any thing too wonderful for Jehovah? at the appointed time I return unto thee, about the time of life, and Sarah hath a son.'

Is there anything too amazing for God to achieve? Does it require too much patience or effort or wisdom or strength?

God's work is not grievous but it is work nevertheless. The grievous part comes from sin, i.e. not doing it His way.

Genesis 3:17-19 (YLT)17 And to the man He said, `Because thou hast hearkened to the voice of thy wife, and dost eat of the tree concerning which I have charged thee, saying, Thou dost not eat of it, cursed is the ground on thine account; in sorrow thou dost eat of it all days of thy life, 18 and thorn and bramble it doth bring forth to thee, and thou hast eaten the herb of the field;19 by the sweat of thy face thou dost eat bread till thy return unto the ground, for out of it hast thou been taken, for dust thou art, and unto dust thou turnest back.'

So God works.

John 5:17 (KJV)17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

He applies thought to things and plans and implements carefully and perfectly; just like He wants us to.
