Welcome to Buildontherock

This is the default page. You are probably here because you have not selected any specific article. Please forgive me if I am wrong but I thought that the best thing that I could say to someone searching for information on this site is that love, not knowledge, is the greatest gift. We can sometime lose sight of that in our quest to have perfect knowledge.

James 2:14-19 (KJV)[14] What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? [15] If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, [16] And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? [17] Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. [18] Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. [19] Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Knowing the right thing and doing the right thing is different. Doing the right thing comes from striving for the right heart. So knowledge is important but the royal law is more important. James says

James 2:8 (KJV)[8] If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:

So James identifies the royal law but he does not quote the whole thing. Christ says that it is the greatsest commandment

Matthew 22:36-40 (KJV)[36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law? [37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

So don't lose sight of why you are here. It is to show love not show knowledge.
